Manage Party Members | Seats, Roles, and Invites
Keep every seat organized, from captain hand-offs to observer approvals.
Use the Party manage view to invite players by username, choose their role, lock the equity that matches their USD contribution, and remove or promote members as the session evolves. Only the captain can change seats, but observers can request access through the spectator gate.
Good sessions fall apart when nobody knows who is playing next. The roster tools inside the wizard and the manage screen were built to keep seats tidy: every invite is tied to a username, equity must total 100%, and the Update role dropdown prevents accidental demotions.
Workflow Phases
Plan the roster
5 minutes • Before opening the wizard
Send and monitor invites
10 minutes • During the wizard
Active session management
Throughout play • While the party is live
Post-session cleanup
5 minutes • After Close & settle
Plan the roster
Before opening the wizard
Decide who will play, who will observe, and how much each person is willing to fund.
Key Activities:
- ✓List the Gamwiz usernames you plan to invite
- ✓Agree on equity targets that add up to 100%
- ✓Choose whether any invitee can edit their own split with the toggle
- ✓Confirm who can step in as backup captain
💡 Best Practice: Put the plan inside Crew notes so late arrivals know the seating chart.
Send and monitor invites
During the wizard
Enter each username, set their role (Player or Observer), and match the equity percentage to their USD contribution.
Key Activities:
- ✓Use presets (Duo/Trio/Squad/Party) when splits are even
- ✓Toggle "Let invitee choose split" if someone is still finalizing their stake
- ✓Remove unused seats before clicking Next
- ✓Watch the Player equity total line until it reaches 100%
💡 Best Practice: Stop and double-check contributions before moving to Settings; fixes are easier now than after launch.
Active session management
While the party is live
Use the manage view to promote observers, swap captains, and pause anyone who needs a break without touching the bankroll.
Key Activities:
- ✓Approve new spectators when Manual approvals is enabled
- ✓Use Update role to move a player back to observer when their turn ends
- ✓Promote a trusted player to captain before demoting yourself
- ✓Use Rebalance equity when someone tops up mid-session
💡 Best Practice: Only one person should click Update role at a time to avoid conflicting changes.
Post-session cleanup
After Close & settle
Tidy the roster so the next launch starts clean.
Key Activities:
- ✓Remove seats for players who will not return
- ✓Update crew notes with the next availability window
- ✓Downgrade observers who only needed temporary access
- ✓Document any disputes in captain notes before ending the day
💡 Best Practice: Keep at least two captains on the roster so there is always a failover.

Communication Protocols
📢Invite pending too long
Protocol:
Ping the user in chat and set a deadline. If they miss it, remove the seat and reassign the equity.
Example:
““@OrbitFox still pending—need a response in 5 minutes or we’ll re-seat.””
Purpose: Keeps the roster moving so launch is not delayed.
📢Seat change request
Protocol:
Player messages the captain, captain pauses action, then uses Update role while everyone else waits.
Example:
““Switching @CardSharp to observer after this bonus. Please stand by.””
Purpose: Prevents overlapping role edits.
📢Observer wants to buy action
Protocol:
Captain confirms KYC status, toggles Manual approvals if needed, and only then allows the buy-in.
Example:
““@StreamBuddy verified, granting observer access and logging their 5% stake.””
Purpose: Protects the bankroll from anonymous viewers.
Common Challenges
Invite stuck in pending
Solution:
Remove the seat and re-add it. This resends notifications and clears stale data.
Prevention:
Ask teammates to accept within the crew-note deadline.
Only one captain on the roster
Solution:
Promote a second captain before the original one logs off.
Prevention:
Always keep a backup captain selected in advance.
Observer spamming chat
Solution:
Use Manual approvals or remove their observer slot altogether.
Prevention:
Require verified accounts before granting watch access.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I remove a player mid-session?
Open Manage → Current roster → Update role, switch them to Observer or remove the seat. Rebalance equity if their funds should be redistributed before the next settlement.
Can I demote myself as the only captain?
No. Promote another player first. Once a second captain is active you can demote your own seat.
Do observers count toward the 5-seat limit?
No. The 5-seat limit applies to captain + players only. Observers are unlimited but still honor the spectator gate.
What if someone misses their contribution?
Lower their equity before launch, or use Rebalance equity if the issue is discovered later. The system will not let you settle with negative balances.
