XP drives rank. Shards power rewards. Both are earned from play and milestones.
XP and Shards are calculated separately. Eligible casino and sportsbook wagers use the current rules shown in Rewards. Slot bets from $0.05 or €0.05 preserve fractional Shards until a whole Shard is credited, and spending Shards never lowers XP or rank.
Shards fund the Shard Shop while XP tracks your long-term rank. Your Rewards view shows the current rules, balances, and credited history.

Do Arcane Shards expire or decay?
No. Shards never expire or decay. Only XP can decay based on recent activity.
Can I exchange Shards for cash or use them for betting?
When the direct exchange is available for your wallet currency, you can exchange whole Shards one way into your cash balance at €0.04 per Shard. USD credits use the EUR-to-USD rate shown before confirmation. The exchange adds no wagering requirement, but KYC, account review, any existing bonus conditions and normal withdrawal rules still apply. Shards cannot be wagered or purchased directly, and cash cannot be exchanged for or used to buy Shards.
Does spending Shards reduce my loyalty tier or XP?
No. Spending Shards never reduces your XP or tier. Your loyalty tier is based on lifetime XP earned from play and missions, not your Shard balance. You can spend Shards freely without affecting your tier progress.
What happens if I'm inactive for more than 7 days?
Inactivity protection is based on your rolling active days over the last 30 days. Daily activity and streak missions help keep decay protection in place.
Are casino and sportsbook Shard rates different?
Eligible casino wagers use game RTP and rank. Eligible settled sportsbook wagers use stake and rank; singles, parlays, and Bet Builder do not have separate Shard rates. Check game or bet eligibility before wagering.
How do tournament rewards work?
Tournaments award Shards and XP based on placement and event length. Open the tournament card to see the current prize pool and payout ladder.
Can I earn XP without wagering?
Yes. Onboarding, trust checks, social actions, streaks, parties, and vault milestones all award XP. See Rewards for the full mission list.
