Use a backup code to log in and disable 2FA, then re-enable with your new device. If you lost backup codes too, contact support with ID verification (24-48 hour recovery process).
Losing access to your 2FA authenticator is stressful, but account recovery is possible. This guide covers all recovery methods, from instant backup code access to full support-assisted recovery with ID verification.
Choose the method that matches your situation
WHEN TO USE:
You saved your 10 backup codes when enabling 2FA
Steps:
Go to Gamwiz login page
Enter username and password
When prompted for 2FA code, click 'Use backup code instead'
Enter one of your 10 backup codes (each works once)
You'll be logged in immediately
Go to Settings → Security → Disable 2FA
Re-enable 2FA with your new device
✅ Account recovered in under 5 minutes
WHEN TO USE:
You used Authy app and enabled cloud backup
Steps:
Install Authy on your new device
Log into Authy with the same phone number/email
Your Gamwiz 2FA will sync automatically
Use the code from Authy to log into Gamwiz
Update your backup codes from Settings → Security
💡 This ONLY works if you used Authy with backup enabled. Google Authenticator doesn't have cloud backup.
WHEN TO USE:
You lost backup codes AND can't access authenticator
Steps:

Click 'Message support' or email support@gamwiz.com
Subject: '2FA Recovery Request - [Your Username]'
Provide: Username, registered email, last deposit date, approximate balance
Submit ID verification (government-issued photo ID + selfie holding ID)
Support will verify your identity and disable 2FA
You'll receive email confirmation when 2FA is removed
Log in and immediately re-enable 2FA with new device
ID verification protects your account from unauthorized recovery requests
